A single outlet that disappears into the furniture

The TS46US is a mini recessed socket for furniture panels: the side of a desk, the back of a sofa, a bedside cabinet, a wardrobe or a reception counter. It takes one US standard outlet, 16A rated, in a housing small enough to fit where a normal socket will not, and it mounts through the panel so the front face sits flat against the surface.

Most furniture has no provision for power, which is why a lamp, a laptop or a phone charger ends up on an extension lead across the floor. A recessed socket turns the panel itself into the power point, with the cable emerging from the furniture instead of from a wall behind it.

The single-outlet format is deliberate. It suits the place where one device needs power, not a workstation: a sofa with a charging cable, a bedside cabinet with a lamp and a phone, a display plinth, a hotel desk. One outlet means one hole and a neat install, rather than a strip that has to be hidden.

Built into furniture, not onto it

The housing is PC with flame-retardant additives, which is the material furniture makers expect for an electrical component inside a wooden or upholstered carcass. The threaded body clamps the panel between the flange and the lock nut, so the installation stays tight in MDF, plywood and solid timber without a separate bracket.

Wiring is brought to the back of the housing inside the carcass, which keeps the cable invisible from the front. For a sofa or an upholstered panel, the socket can be positioned on the outside face while the cable runs behind the frame.
